I've read a million birth stories throughout this pregnancy (which just
ended 12 days ago - I hope to post a birth story soon), and at this point
it takes a lot to make me cry. I think your story is so powerful for me
because it sounds so much like my homebirth, which happened just
three days before yours. My labor was long and irregular too, and at the
end it was my dear husband who looked at me - with complete belief - and
said "yes, we're going to change positions again - let's go." We did this
for 3-5 (?) hours of transition-type labor, after 10 of active labor -
and had our baby, finally, at home without any of the interventions I would
have certainly had anywhere else. Thank God(dess) for good partners and
dedicated midwives.
